Who will be on the water
This is not a clinic to just sail around. The goal is to coach from the RIB, give simple references and make sure the sailor leaves knowing what to change.

For ILCA 4 sailors who need a better base
This clinic makes sense if the issue is not “doing more races”, but sailing with clearer references.
You still hesitate with trim and do not know exactly what to adjust when the wind changes.
You lose speed after every tack or gybe and take too long to accelerate again.
In the gusts the boat gets out of control: too much heel, too much rudder and not enough stability.
You are going to use the new ILCA 4 MkII sail and do not want to start blind.
What we will work on
Few blocks. A lot of repetition. Clear corrections.
Manoeuvres
Tacks, gybes, exits and accelerations with less distance lost.
Boat control
Heel, body position, rudder and gust response. Less fighting the boat.
MkII trim
Mainsheet, vang, cunningham and outhaul with the new ILCA 4 MkII sail.
Upwind/downwind technique
Clear references to keep the boat fast upwind and controlled downwind.
Practice races
Race-context exercises to apply technique under pressure.
